Sigurd and the crew of his ship the ‘Blazing Eye’ were not present when the dragon Grandusdrage destroyed the Barbarian homeland of Oyastorm.
Returning from a whaling expedition in the immediate aftermath of the destruction, Sigurd organized evacuation efforts, establishing a small colony of survivors on a previously uninhabited island in the northern sea.
With the colony now managing to eke out an existence, but knowing that this is only a temporary stopgap, Sigurd has turned his attention to finding a new land where all of his people can thrive. As he searches, the crew take on odd jobs for gold to help the colony survive. The ‘Blazing Eye’ and crew are often busy transporting cargo or protecting high value passengers from those who would seek to do them harm.
